As a Sr. Financial Data & Reporting Analyst, you will work with our* Shared Services FP&A; Team*that handles budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for Premera’s annual Operating Budget of over $600M. You will have the opportunity to take your reporting and finance expertise to the next level. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of reporting systems for the Finance Division. You may also assist in the development and planning of internal reporting across all functional areas and provides technical expertise and consultation for multi-company business planning functions for Premera Blue Cross and its subsidiaries. These accountabilities require strong analytical/design capabilities to solve complex problems and advanced technology skills to continuously improve accuracy, workload capacity and process efficiency for the end user.

What you’ll do:

  • Consult with customers on complex projects and offers reporting solutions/efficiencies.

  • Work closely with the team within the Finance Division to continually provide needed reporting views for internal customers

  • Synthesize data and provides analyze for a broad array of issues across disciplines and functional areas

  • Develop analytical tools and models to support strategic business planning

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for Finance Management

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to all levels of management

  • Seek opportunities for process improvement or to gain efficiencies and take a lead role to implement

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or four (4) years' work experience

  • Four (4) years' reporting analyst experience

  • Experience with the following:

  • PeopleSoft or similar application

  • Building reports that are shared with management

  • Adaptive Insights or similar applications

  • Strong visualization, user experience, and presentation skills

  • Expertise in Excel, VBA, and complex formulas

  • Proficiency with SQL queries, PowerPivot, and PowerQuery as well as other Microsoft applications

  • Experience working with complex systems to retrieve, analyze and synthesize data

  • Ability to:

  • Identify issues and propose solutions

  • Conduct and interpret quantitative/ qualitative analysis

  • Effectively handle multiple tasks in various stages of completion

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Project planning and management skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
